A Generalized Tool for Accurate and Efficient Image Registration of UAV Multi-lens Multispectral Cameras by N-SURF Matching

چکیده

The original multispectral (MS) images obtained from multi-lens cameras (MSCs) have significant misregistration errors, which require image registration for precise spectral measurement. However, due to the nonlinearity intensity differences among MS images, performing matching is difficult find sufficient correct matches (CMs) registration, and results in a complex coarse-to-fine solution. Based on modification of speed-up robust feature (SURF), we proposed normalized SURF (N-SURF) that can significantly increase amount CMs different pairs make one-step possible. In this study, first introduce N-SURF adopt datasets acquired three representative MSCs (MCA-12, Altum, Sequoia) evaluate its ability. Meanwhile, utilized transformation models-affine transform (AT), projective (PT), an extended (EPT) errors their co-registration correctness. show obtain 6-20 times more than successfully match all while failed cases differences. Moreover, visual comparison, accuracy assessment, residual analysis EPT accurately viewpoint lens distortion AT PT, it 0.2-0.4 pixels. Subsequently, using successful model, developed automatic tool suitable various multilens MSCs.

Automatic UAV Image Geo-Registration by Matching UAV Images to Georeferenced Image Data

Recent years have witnessed the fast development of UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles). As an alternative to traditional image acquisition methods, UAVs bridge the gap between terrestrial and airborne photogrammetry and enable flexible acquisition of high resolution images. However, the georeferencing accuracy of UAVs is still limited by the low-performance on-board GNSS and INS. This paper invest...

DPML-Risk: An Efficient Algorithm for Image Registration

Targets and objects registration and tracking in a sequence of images play an important role in various areas. One of the methods in image registration is feature-based algorithm which is accomplished in two steps. The first step includes finding features of sensed and reference images. In this step, a scale space is used to reduce the sensitivity of detected features to the scale changes. Afterw...

Optimized hierarchical block matching for fast and accurate image registration

Recently the camera resolution has been highly increased, and the registration between high-resolution images is computationally expensive even by using hierarchical block matching. This paper presents a novel optimized hierarchical block matching algorithm in which the computational cost is minimized for the scale factor and the number of levels in the hierarchy. The algorithm is based on a ge...

Sensorcam cameras and image registration

Our first approach to visual monitoring was the deployment of mobile phone an integrated camera. It was powered by a car battery and installed on the unknown glacier since unknown date. It kept sending one picture of the glacier every hour during daytime and stopped working after two months due to power depletion. We consider it as a successful feasibility study. Based on the experiences gather...

Curvelet-Based Sampling for Accurate and Efficient Multi-Modal Image Registration

We present a new non-uniform adaptive sampling method for the estimation of mutual information in multi-modal image registration. The method uses the Fast Discrete Curvelet Transform to identify regions along anatomical curves on which the mutual information is computed. Its main advantages of over other non-uniform sampling schemes are that it captures the most informative regions, that it is ...
